Terracotta figure of Nereid sitting on the arching tail of a hippocamp that moves to viewer's right, she is holding a large Corinthian helmet in her arms, modeled in great detail. Orange clay, white coating, rose-madder on tail, red on hair of Nereid, blue on hippocamp's body. Thetis riding on a sea-horse, holding the helmet she will give to her son Achilles. --The British Museum
