- Charlie White discusses growing up in Detroit during the 1950s; joining the military and playing basketball oversees; his journey from junior college in Southern California to Oregon State University after being recruited for the OSU Men’s Basketball Team; his experiences both as an athlete and student at OSU and as a newcomer to Corvallis, 1964-1967; his work for the Crown-Zellerbach manufacturing facility in Antioch, California with the specific job to integrate the workforce; and his life-long passion for basketball.
