Retold from Thomas Bulfinch's THE AGE OF FABLE, Philadelphia, 1898. It is printed here in hand-set Perpetua Bold on paper made by Jennie Frederick of Kansas City Paperworks. The edition, ten copies, was printed on a Washington handpress at the University of Alabama in the spring of 1986 by Linda Samson-Tailleur, who also cut the illustrations. CALLISTO is the first book published by Carotuccia Press.
