Struggle for Life has 30 screenprints on paper currency removed from circulation. The origin of the banknotes differs in each book making each of them original in form and context. The texts, translated to English by Linda Neilson, were printed with an inkjet printer ES1200. Struggle for Life is an edition of 40, with each copy numbered an signed by the artist. Published at the Women's Studio Workshop, Rosendale, New York, in September 2000 thanks to a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts.
