Description Of Manifestation
Neither prefaced or afterworded, introduced or postscripted, television's flow, the the demi-archaic mailman's walk, stops for neither rain, sleet or snow. Impeded only by the withdrawal of its electronic fix, it proceeds and proceeds. Uncotradicted, it absorbs contradiction, partakes of constant confessional, and exhalts in the direct address. It dispenses power and its simulations through its extensive networking device and never lets you go for long. It declares, exhorts, ingratiates, and leases because it can't do without us. We're its "Queen For a Day", it's young and restless living "The Days of Our Lives". Making us think that its total control of our freedon is our freedom and that our freedom is its total control, it is the guest who will never leave, will seldom shut-up and whose staying power should never be underestimated. -Barbara Kruger
