- Bert E. Christensen (left) and Roy A. Young (right) at 25-year club event. Roy A. Young became Assistant Professor of Plant Pathology in 1948 and taught courses in plant bacterial diseases and disease control. Young was head of the Botany and Plant Pathology department from 1958-1966. Young served for a short term as acting president from 1969-1970.
