- Born in 1903, Albert Schleicher studied in the School of Forestry at Oregon Agricultural College from 1927 to 1929. Never receiving a degree, Schleicher went on to work for the U.S. Army Depot and helped to establish the Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher Camps in California. He later retired to live in Midvale, Idaho, with his sister Flora Williams.
