- Lee Caldwell outfit in front of Aune's Livery stable at Bend, Oregon - 1905.The Caldwell brothers were sons of Joseph and Laura (Cornwell) Caldwell, members of the Oregon section of the ill-fated Donner Party emigrant train of 1846, the Calif. section of which were marooned in the snow at Lake Tahoe, Nevada, most of them starving to death. Members of the Oregon section of the train settled near Oakland, Ore.
