- 9:27 a.m. Photo taken in 1930 of Great Southern train arriving at Fairbanks heading south toward Dufur. Home of Issac Remington is in background. Will the two trains collide? No! This train is on the reversed schedule having left The Dalles in the a.m. These two pictures (WCPA 243-2) were perhaps taken several years apart. Sunday service was discontinued by 1920. Great Southern Railroad provided service for over three decades.
