He is wearing a plains style bonnet, buckskin shirt, fur hair wraps, blanket hider, and buckskin legging. He is holding in his right hand a bow and one arrow. He is standing in front of a blanket backdrop that is tacked up to a wooden frame. On the left side of the photograph is a wooden walkway. Behind the frame are trees. And in the right side of the photograph in the far background is a house. Writing on the photograph is just behind the man's left leg on the bottom right corner of the blanket "Joe Craig Major Moorhouse".
