- Description
-
A stream, some utility poles, railroad tracks, and fences cross a small valley. The valley has deciduous trees that don't have their leaves and a few conifers. Hills are in the background and the photo seems to be taken from above the valley. In the right foreground of the photo stands a tipi. In the middle to the far left is another tipi. There is a third tipi in the middle of the photo which stands to the right of the other tipi. This one is almost completely obscured by trees. The tipis in the middle of the photo both have a smaller wooden structure next to them. The words "Thorn Hollow" and some other indistinguishable words are written in the bottom left of the photo.
- Condition Of Source

- Tribal Notes
-
An outside photograph of three camp sites in Buckaroo Creek. The three tipis are two different kinds: canvas and Tule mat tipis. The one on the left side of the photograph is a Tule mat tipi. There is a wood pile next to this tipi. Next is a canvas tipi which is hidden in the brush from the angle of the camera. Next to this tipi is a small arbor. The last campsite is in the lower right side of the photograph and it is a canvas tipi. Buckaroo creek is running from the bottom right corner to the middle of the photograph and runs in the brush at the edge of the railroad tracks. There are tracks running from left to right in the middle of the photograph. There are a number of fences in the photograph. Running across the middle of the photograph are three telephone poles. In the background are mixed Cottonwood and Pine trees. Writing on the photograph is "Thorn Hollow Looking East Major Moorhouse." The camera is on a ridge and looking to the north east into Thorn Hollow.
