Note
Charles Cooper began his career in New York and began designing in 1927. He moved to California in the mid 50s. Joan Fontaine was a known client of his. By the 1960s, Charles Cooper for Cooper Couture was established, though he did not create couture under this label. He died in 1969. (Vintage Fashion Guild) The record stated that this piece was from the 1970s, but since the designer died in 1969 I would say it is from the 1960s. I also found the same exact dress on ebay and the listing said it was a 60s dress. (DLF 2015)
