- Dress ensemble of maroon cut velvet in a floral pattern and shirred maroon silk satin: a) Bodice has high, round neckline with standing band collar; fitted through the torso with boning and princess seams and darts; bodice falls loosely over the hips; long sleeves have shirred satin at the top with cuffs and outer panel of velvet; front closing has metal rimmed, shell sculpted buttons of a man standing next to a house; lined in a dark colored cotton with silver swirl pattern; tiny concealed pocket on side seam. b) Skirt of shirred rows of satin in front and sides with panel overlay on each side of velvet; bustle section has loose wide section at top of satin and velvet below; rhinestone oval buckle at each side has satin ribbon accent; lined in a dark treated fabric; satin waistband with hook and eye closures.
