- Sunbonnet of white cotton with quilted brim trimmed in ruffle pin-pleated into the brim; scalloped edges of ruffle are embroidered with tiny stemmed flowers; back crown is gathered into the brim/visor and gathered at the back where it is trimmed in self-ruffle; bow-tie at back of neck and ties at bow under chin.
