- Counts played for OSU’s varsity team from 1962 to 1964. OSU played in the NCAA tournament all three of Counts’ years. The 1962 squad made to the western regional finals before falling to UCLA, and Counts led the 1963 team to a Final Four appearance. He was an All-American in 1963 and 1964, and as a senior, he averaged 26.7 points and 18.9 rebounds per game. Counts played on the gold medal-winning 1964 U.S. Olympic team, and spent twelve years in the NBA. Seen in the background is guard Terry Baker.
