"The striking golden sandstone cliffs of Oregon's Cape Kiwanda create a dramatic color pattern with the frothy surf, pale sky, green mantle of vegetation and deep blue ocean water. Waves smash against cliffs at irregular intervals and provide a spectacular exhibition of the forces of nature. The cape, located just north of Pacific City, shelters an excellent boat launching site and a marine garden on its leeward side, and huge sand dunes stretch inland."
