Item from a collection of University of Oregon faculty, students, buildings, organizations, and events. Portrait of Stephen Cannell Jr. (1941-2010), a famous television writer and producer. Cannell helped to created the television shows The A-Team (1983-1987), The Rockford Files (1974-1980), and 21 Jump Street (1987-1991). Prior to his successful entertainment career, he was a journalism student and Sigma Chi member at the University of Oregon. He graduated with his BS in Journalism in 1964. In this portrait, there is Bosco B.A. Baracus action figure sitting on Cannell's shoulder. Bosco B.A. Baracus was a character on Cannell's television show The A-Team. B.A. was played by Mr. T (a.k.a Lawrence Tureaud), a famous actor and professional wrestler. The B.A. action figure was manufactured by the Galoob Company.
