Tent coat of lime green piled wool "fur" with rolled collar and wide long sleeves; ends of sleeves are lined in green damask in a diamond/square pattern; 2 diagonal welt pockets at sides lined in gold silk satin; 3 large self-wool covered button closure at front bodice; collar wraps over to a left-side concealed hook and eye closure; mid-length; fully lined in bright green ground with white and brown large intersecting branches; nylon lining; "hidden" inner pocket of self-nylon at left bust.

Adolph Schuman founded Lilli Ann in San Francisco in 1934. The company was named after his wife, Lillian. In the 1940s Schuman began travelling to Europe to purchase exquisite fabrics from small textile companies in France and Italy. Many of these companies were struggling financially and depended on his patronage to keep their businesses afloat. Many of those company's name appears on Lilli Ann labels. (Credit
