Description
Marialta Brandon was an Instructor in Dormitories and Institution Economics at Oregon State College in 1946. Brandon was born in 1920, in Portland, Oregon. She received her undergraduate education from Reed College from 1938 to 1940. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition from Oregon State College in 1942, and her Master of Science from the University of Iowa in 1943. Brandon had previously been a dietitian in the United States Army Medical Department before coming to OSC in 1946. Oregon State hired Brandon as an instructor at an annual salary of $2,000. She resigned at the end of 1946 to get married.
