- Doe-fawn mule deer killed by coyotes during the previous night in Wiley Gulch of the Murderer's Creek Basin area of Grant County. Tracks showed that the animal had been surprised by a coyote or coyotes and killed after a short struggle. The carcass also shows definite signs of coyote work, especially in the manner in which the rib-bones have been eaten and chewed.
