Description: Goss Stadium was dedicated on April 17, 1999. "In 1998, John Goss and his wife, Eline, made the major gift to a fund-raising effort that led to the construction of Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. The Gosses also made contributions leading to endowed scholarships for student/athletes and other top academic students, including graduates of Portland's Grant High School and members of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Goss was an Oregon State track and field letterman in the 1930s; the naming of the baseball stadium is also a memorial to his older brother, James Goss."-- Oregon Stater
