- Description
- Studio portrait of Yakutat native identified as Dah-Clet-Jah. The man has his head turned in profile and is wearing a headdress. On the front of the headdress is pair of carved faces with eyes, nose, and mouth. Ermine Fur covers the sides and back of the headdress that falls in tassles over his sholders. Thin pieces of wood, identified as cedar bark woven with goat's hair, are sticking out of the top of the head piece. A robe draped over his shoulders is open in the front displaying a dark necktie. The robe is multi-toned and contains abstract patterning.
