- An outdoor portrait of five young natives. Three of the individuals appear to be male and two female. The farthest male on the right wears a dark round, brimmed hat, long-sleeved button-up shirt with stripes, pants, and shoes, which appear to be moccasins. He is holding a small black and white pup. Sitting next to the boy is a young girl in a long-sleeved dress with buttons. She is also wearing shoes that appear to be moccasins and that have white circular buttons on the top. The man sitting next to her wears a short brimmed hat, long-sleeved shirt with collar, dark vest with two buttons, pants, and knee-high leg coverings that appear to be attached to his shoes. These shoes also appear to be moccasins with circular buttons sewn around the top of the shoe. A girls sits in front of the man with her arm draped over his knee. She wears long earrings, rings on her pinky and ring fingers, and a dark, long-sleeved button-up dress. The skirt material has a decorative print. The man on the end appears to have his face painted with a light color. He wears a long-sleeved shirt with collar, necktie, vest and pants. A large dog sits on the ground next to him. An unidentifiable piece of finely woven material lays to the left in the foreground of the image. Other objects visible in the foreground are a circular metal pan and a small pile of wooden sticks. The background is out of focus, but contains a structure built of wood, or metal pieces secured together.
