Dr. Merrill Oveson was an Extension agent for Umatilla County from 1931-1938 and served as the Superintendent of the Pendleton Experiment Station from 1948-1966. A white winter wheat variety is named after Oveson.
Clinton C. Jacks completed a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science at Oregon State University in 1970 and 1971, respectively. He was Central Oregon Agricultural Research Center Superintendent among other roles at Oregon State University from 1970-2006.
