Built to accommodate a larger YMCA presence on campus during World War I, the Y-Hut was located from 1918 to 1926 in the location where the Memorial Union is today. It was removed to make way for the MU. The YWCA remained in Shepard Hall.

This class was taught by Herman Scullen and may have been a component of a rehabilitation program for World War I veterans. Scullen taught beekeeping and entomoloy at Oregon State from 1920 to 1953.

Paul J. Schissler (1893-1968) was head football coach at Oregon State from 1924 to 1932, compiling a career record of 48-30-2. He later coached professionally with the Chicago Cardinals and Brooklyn Dodgers football teams.

The board assembled outside the north entrance to the Library for this springtime photograph. Front row, from left, are Sam Kozer (Secretary of State, ex-officio), James K. Weatherford (president of the board), E. E. Wilson (secretary of the board), B. F. Irvine (treasurer of the board), Walter Pierce (Governor, ex-officio), Mrs. W. S. Kinney, and Jefferson Myers. Back row, from left, are E. B. Aldrich, Sam H. Brown, George M. Cornwall, and Harry Bailey. Not in the photo were members J. A. Fred Steiwer graduated from OAC in 1902 with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He represented Oregon in the United States Senate from 1927 to 1938.

Arthur B. Cordley
Description
Arthur Burton Cordley joined the faculty of Oregon Agricultural College in 1895 as a Professor of Zoology and Entomology. He became the first Dean of the School of Agriculture in 1908, a position he held until his retirement in 1931. Cordley worked as an entomologist at Michigan Agricultural College, the Vermont Experiment Station, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture before moving to Oregon.

The Lady of the Fountain in ruins
Description
The Lady of the Fountain was built in 1903 as a gift from the Class of 1902. It was located on lower campus just west of the present intersection of Madison Avenue and Ninth Street. Often stolen as a prank by University of Oregon students, the statue was demolished by students January 1929.
