The road behind the hangers is Grant Street. The field was bordered on the east side by a dirt road which is now NW Highland Ave. The field was operated by Albert Parmenter and Dick Lyndon. The Field was abandoned in 1930 when Parmenter moved to Eugene. Lyndon started another airport on S 3rd Street at what is now Goodnight Ave. The airplane on the right is a 1929 Swallow owned by Joe Chamberlin, Slats Gill, and Roy Getz. The middle plane is a 1929 American Eagle. The plane in the foreground is a 1925 WACO "9" powered by a 90 H.P. OX-5 engine.
Lyndon Airfield was located about 1 mile north of the present Corvallis Municipal Airport, west of Highway 99 W on Herbert Ave. It was operated by Dick Lyndon (Lyndon Airways). It was abandoned in 1942. The aircraft at the right of flight line is a Fairchild 24. The airplane second from the left is a Rearwing Sportster. Next to the last plane is a 1936 Alexander Eaglerock.
