Description

81 x 88 inch 'Grandma's Flower Garden' but is a variation because doesn't have yellow center and green and other circles. Didn't have anybody around to tell her how to do it so just did it. Audrey calls it 'WWII Feed Sack Mosaic'. First quilt Audrey Peters ever pieced outside of a nine patch and she figures she did it all wrong because didn't know to piece bias and straight edges together--but dame out fine anyway! Done around 1948 or 1950 or so when lived on Mt. Scott. Finished quilt around 1972.

Pink and white '9 Patch' pieced by Marguerite Boentgen, 1927 or 1928 at Knoppa(?). Audrey Peters got it around 1940 at high school graduation with stipulation that Audrey Peters quilt it--she quilted in in 1972. Approximately 85 x 73 inches. $250 insured.

Approx. 72 x 88 inch 'Postage Stamp.' Took three years to cut out the pieces. Quilted about 1972. Saved all the pieces too little to do anything else with--cut out 1 1/2 inch scraps. Around 4, 8880 pieces without border. $500 insured
