Over the stripes is a repeated pattern of large swags decorated with emblems, flags, and the 50 year logo of Ghana frame a portrait of Kwame Nkrumah. The 50 year logo read " 50 GHANA Championing African Excellence" in English. An alternating patter of Ghanaian flags and political emblems run along the bottom of the cloth. Smaller ribbon motifs flank the top and bottom of the nation's flags identifying Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as the "FIRST PRIME MINISTER" and the dates of indepenence "MARCH 1957 GHANA INDEPENDENCE MARCH 2007" in English.
A repeating pattern of the emblem of Ghana runs along the edges of the fabric and frames the repeating portrait of Kwame Nkrumah flanked by Ghanaian flags and palce on a map. Text above and below the portrait of Nkrumah reads: "GHANA INDEPENDENCE DAY MARCH 6TH 1957 - 2007" "DR. KWAME NKRUMAH THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF GHANA" "FREEDOM AND JUSTICE" in English
