Dennis Oppenheim lives in New York, N. Y. He was born in Electric City, Washington, and attended California College of Arts and Crafts, where he received a BFA degree in 1965. He moved to new York in 1966, where he taught preschool and later high school art while working towards his first single exhibition, which was held in 1968.
