This is a God of Shinto religion. Shinto has a great array of subsidiary gods--the elementary gods, fire, wind, thunder, water, with many home-keeping kindly deities who are invoked and honored with a thought, the seven gods of felicity, the god of good women, the god of the oven, the god of the fields, the rice god, and what not.
