Lora Lemon (left). E.B. Lemon (middle) received a business degree from Oregon Agricultural College in 1911, becoming a part-time accounting instructor until 1943. Lemon also held the office of University Registrar from 1922-1943 and was Dean of Administration from 1943-1959.
G. Burton Wood (left) was Director of the OSU Agricultural Experiment Station from 1966 until his retirement in 1975. Previous to this, he served as head of the Department of Agricultural Economics from 1951 until 1966. Wilbur T. Cooney (middle) was Professor of Poultry Science and Dean of the School of Agriculture from 1937-1980. Wilson Hoover Foote (right) was a Professor of Agronomy and Associate Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station from 1948-1985.
Clifford V. Smith was Vice President for Administration, Professor of Civil Engineering, Special Assistant to the Chancellor of the Oregon State System of Higher Education, and Professor and Head of Nuclear Engineering and Director of the Radiation Center at Oregon State from 1979-1987. Afterward, he was the African American chancellor of a four year institution in the University of Wisconsin system. Thomas C. McClintock (right) was Associate Dean for the College of Liberal Arts and Professor of History from 1959-1990.
Wayne Morse (left, at table) was a United States senator from Oregon from 1944-1968. Frederick Earl Price (second from right) was an Agriculture Engineer for the Agriculture Experiment Station, and served as dean of the School of Agriculture from 1950 to 1965.
Joseph H. Wales (left) was a Professor of Food Science and Technology at Oregon State from 1959-76. Elmer C. Stevenson (right) was Professor of Horticulture and Dean of the School of Agriculture at Oregon State from 1967-1981.
Lyle D. Calvin was a Professor of Statistics and later Dean of the Graduate School from 1953-1988. Thomas Yates completed a Master of Science at Oregon State in 1967. Yates was a Professor of Statistics and Director of the Computer Center at Oregon State from 1962-1986.
Roy Alton Young (left), a professor of plant pathology, was appointed in 1966 as Oregon State University's Dean of Research with responsibility for campus-wide research coordination. He served as the university's acting president for one year until the arrival of Robert MacVicar in July 1970. He then resumed his research coordination duties as the vice president for research and graduate studies until 1976. David Nicodemus (right) was a Physics professor, College of Science administrator, and Dean of Faculty at OSU from 1950 to 1986. Nicodemus also served as a physicist at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory from 1943 to 1946, assisting with the Manhattan Project.
