Joseph Hawkins (seated, left) graduated from Oregon Agricultural College in 1917. Robert W. Henderson (right) received a B.S. in Agronomy in 1938. Henderson served as Assistant Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station and a Farm Crops faculty member from 1946-1976.
Ralph S. Besse (left) was a farm management Extension specialist from 1922-1932, then served as Assistant Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station from 1932-1949. From 1949-1953, Besse was Associate Director of the Experiment Station. Marion Weatherford (right) was a Gilliam County, Oregon wheat farmer.
Lynn Elton Cannon graduated from Oregon State College in 1958. He was Oregon State University Extension Chairman for Coos County from 1963-1992. Murray D. Dawson (right) was a Professor of Soil Science and founder of the OSU Rugby Club. Dawson received the International Alumni Medal in 2006.

Kronstad (1932-2000) came to Oregon State in 1959 as a doctoral student and remained as an instructor after completing his Ph.D. in 1963. He ultimately lead the Wheat Breeding Project, which developed many new varieties of wheat. During his career, Kronstad advised more than 100 graduate students from around the world. He retired in 1998.
