Professor Herbert F. Frolander displays one of the Oceanographic Department's finer specimens to two members of the Portland Rose Festival Court. Herbert F. Frolander became an Assistant Professor in Oceanography in 1959, eventually becoming the Coordinator of Marine Science Programs in 1966. From 1966-1967, Frolander served as Assistant Dean of the Graduate School. The 1964 princesses were on a publicity tour and visited the OSU campus before the selection of the Rose Festival Queen in June.
