Officers to head Dad's Club activities for1978 were elected during Dad's Weekend. Norman Kennedy of Eugene is president, succeeding Roy Malo of Portland. Steve and Patricia Gilley came to the Homecoming and '56 reunion along with Dr. Robert and Barbary Hayden Loomis. Photo was used in the December 1981 Oregon Stater, page 10. Robert "Bob" Loomis graduated with a general science degree in 1956 and served as the medical director for PacificSource Health Plans. Loomis was also president of the Oregon Medical Association. Loomis has been involved in the OSU Alumni Association Board, OSU Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Beaver Athletic Student Fund. Loomis received the Martin Chaves Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
Photo was used in the April 1980 Oregon Stater, vol.14 no.3. Bernard A. "Bud" Ossey was an engineer officer during WWII until he retired as Lieutenant Colonel in 1967. Ossey was president of the OSU Dad's Club and Beaver Athletic Scholarship Fund. Ossey was inducted into the Engineering Hall of Fame in 2006.
