The caption on reverse reads like a press release: "Left to Right: Cadet Lt. Col. Michael E. Moore, Oregon State College President, A. L. Strand, and Cadet Lt. Robert L. Gragg. Col. Moore is presenting to President Strand on behalf of the 11th Pershing Rifle Regiment the trophies awarded to the OSC Army Drill Team who recently won the 11th Regimental Drill Competition for 1960. President Strand congratulated Lt. Gragg and asked that he keep the trophies. the trophy on the left is the rotating trophy and will be kept by OSC for one year. The right trophy is the perm. trophy and will be kept by the Company. The trophies may be seen at the second floor trophy case near the Infantry Office (OSC Armory)."
