In December 1970, the Black Student Union protested multiple OSU athletic events held with BYU, objecting to Mormon Church policies that denied the priesthood to African Americans. Robert W. Robert W. Henderson received a B.S. in Agronomy at Oregon State in 1938. Henderson served as Assistant Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station and a Farm Crops faculty member from 1946-1976. Henderson was also known for his love of photography.
Murray D. Dawson (foreground right, wearing tie) was a Professor of Soil Science and founder of the OSU Rugby Club. Dawson received the International Alumni Medal in 2006.
Harold W. Moe (left) was an Associate Professor of Physical Education and coach for Oregon State University from 1935-1942 and 1949-1971. Estora Moe (right). The Moes were celebrating forty years of association with Oregon State football.
