Moore coached the gymnastics team from 1967 to 1975. She came to OSU as a faculty member in physical education in 1966. She served as director of women’s athletics from 1975-1977 and 1980-1982. After the men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletics programs merged, Moore served as deputy athletic director from 1983 to 1985. When Dee Andros stepped down as athletic director in 1985, Moore was named interim director of intercollegiate athletics – the first woman to have held that post at OSU.
Dee Andros speaking at a Triad Club meeting. Dee Andros was the Oregon State Head Coach for football from 1965-1975, and Athletic Director from 1975-1985. In 1967, Andros lead the Beavers through two victories and one tie against the top three teams: USC, Purdue, and UCLA, making OSU's team "The Giant Killers".
Home Game, The 1914 C. E. apprentice team was comprised of players from classes that an instructor taught. C. E. is undoubtedly for the Civil Engineering Association, a student group.
Samuel Michael Dolan was the head coach for the Oregon Agricultural College football team from 1911-1913. No Civil War games were played during the 1911 season due to riots that broke out the previous year.
Natalie Reichart attended Oregon Agricultural College from 1917 to 1920. She earned her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and graduate degree from New York University. She returned to Oregon State College as faculty member in physical education in 1925, a position she held until 1945.
Bill Winkler, the swim coach and assistant professor of P. E., shakes hands with Jerry Wille, an All American swimmer and co-captain of the swimming team. Bill Winkler is an emeritus professor for the College of Public Health and Human Services and the former OSU swim coach. Winkler formed the Faculty/Staff Fitness program in 1984.
John V. Byrne came to Oregon State University as an Associate Professor of Marine Geology in 1961, becoming the Chairman of the Oceanography Department in 1968. Byrne was the OSU president from 1984-1995.
