He went on to coach at Willamette University where their baseball stadium was eventually named for him. Mayor George Peavy was head of Department of Forestry at Oregon Agricultural College; dean of forestry when reorganized as a school; president of Oregon State College and was the mayor of Corvallis, Oregon.
The 1925 varsity squad was 12-2, undefeated at home, and were the Pacific Northwest Conference Champions. Photo was used in the 1927 Beaver Yearbook, page 191.
