Manuscript recalling a collision of Mr. Echidnas and an eagle. Fortunately the bird survived and was put into the care of Dr. L. E. Hibbard. The author goes on to point out that this eagle is protected by law but sadly has been exterminated in several parts of the Pacific Northwest.
Wilson Foote, Joe Cox, President Robert MacVicar and Stafford Hansell visit during President MacVicar's tour of the Squaw Butte Experiment Station. Robert W. MacVicar was president of Oregon State University from 1970-1986. MacVicar was also a professor of chemistry and tripled the size of the university's budget. During his years as president, the size of the campus increased with 23 additional buildings.
Robert Raleigh was a Professor of Animal Nutrition and Superintendent of the Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center at Oregon State from 1960-1990.
