Finely pecked but crude figure of a stylized stag with a raptor-like head. Lower figure of a more deeply repatinated, but roughly pecked caprid. Outcrop on east side of section.
Horizontal surface with several animals reflecting three different periods: a Bronze Age yak, below; a fine, stylized deer with exaggerated antlers, above; and a somewhat later, still whitish realistic elk on the right.
Hunting scene using the boulder as a landscape: archer approaching capris, large deer; behind, a large nursing wolf or dog. Above the wolf and on other side of the curved surface, a fine, recumbent bull.
Two men apparently swinging around the heads of two confronting bulls. The leg of the bull on the left overlays an earlier, scored image. Modern mark on upper left.
Profile animal originally outlined with clear contours, pecked, and possibly scored over earlier, somewhat random pecking. Chaulky patination shifting to dark coloration.
Wolf, partially covered by lichen, chasing two ibex on finely scraped, red bedrock surface. Note extremely deep, careful pecking in contrast to that of the (later) bull image, lower right. On high terrace, east end of complex.
Group of images on vertical, broken surface; four figures, each with different implements and weapons, one holding two large sticks (?), another drawing his bow, a third tall figure with spear and what may be a dagger in his belt. Compare this last figure with that in RA_PETR_TG_0822.
Large slab covered with lichen under which seems to have been pecked a hunt scene or a scene of a caravan. Remaining identifiable images include an archer, a loaded bull (?), and animals. The crushed surfaces have fallen out of most of the images.
Archer walking and shooting to the right. From his waist hangs a long daluur. Note variation in re-patination; this and the figure type indicate the probable date.
Scene with large elk surrounded by dogs and goats, followed by a hunter shooting long bow. Vertical snake (?) on the left. Small surface of broken boulder.
Vertical surface with extensive damage. Still visible: several ibex, two with fine bodies and horns; two frontal figures with mushroom-shaped headdresses.
Detail of boulder with many images. Note double caprids in center, plantigrade caprid above, elegant hunter and stag. Different patina of images does not necessarily indicate different dates, but the differences in style (of images and pecking) probably do indicate different hands/periods. In this case, the lower double caprid seems to be a copy of the upper one, done at a much later time.
Detail of large boulder with animals in Arzhan style: bull with interior animals rendered in relieved style. Note controlled pecking despite rough surface of stone.
Detail of elaborately parcelled bull in upper section of ""Second Bull Panel"". Ball tail clearly visible, but horns become invisible at this angle. Smooth, deeply scraped bedrock.
Group of five figures, apparently in combat, with drawn bows and quivers. Several figures carry tufted wands (daluur) at their waists. On smooth, scraped surface, photographed in flare.
Small boulder with scraped western face on which are finely pecked 10 wheeled vehicles with their drivers and horses. Several other later, large elements pecked on the upper left side indicating that the boulder broke apart by the Late Bronze Age.
Fine bull or yak with lowered head and round horns on cracked and abraded outcrop. Uneven coloration reflects the transitional process of re-patination and is typical of images from this period.
Detail of larger section at edge of outcrop, with fine confronting horse and yak. Like the hunter in RA_PETR_TG_0394, these vertically placed images demonstrate delayed re-patination.
Small hunter on vertical, cracking surface. The hat, daluur, and clothing of the figure indicates a Bronze Age date; but the light patina indicates how the process of redarkening can be quite delayed on vertical surfaces.
Complex scene: on left, two hunters shooting at a syncretic bull-deer; standing frontal woman. In center, two large yaks, one with load and both led by figures with bows who are being attacked by other archers. On boulder.
