Soldiers of US Army's Spruce Production Division lay tiles and rail on one of the lines in Lincoln county. Location thought to be just north of Alsea Bay on Line #12 aka Alsea Southern Railroad. Warren Spruce Co. had contract to build the three railroads.
Blodgett Tract probably dated in the early 1940s. Shows large area of burned over land that had been logged by Manary Logging Co. in the 1920's and early 1930's and burned over by the Big Creek fire in 1936.
