- Description
-
Black and white photograph. This is the fourth image of a six image panoramic view of Portland, Oregon. This print displays a residential district that is sectioned off in blocks that are lined with wooden sidewalks. Rows of trees line the edges of these sidewalks. Two wide dirt roads intersect in the foreground of the image. The dwellings are multi-storied and have multiple windows, covered porches, and chimneys. Wooden fences enclose the yards of the dwellings. Lining the dirt road in the left foreground of the image are piles of wood. A sign that reads, lumber yard hangs over a wood sidewalk in the bottom left corner of the image. Trees, hills, dwellings, buildings, and two church spires are visible in the distance.
