- Hand tinted image. An Asian woman stands on a dirt road. She is a peddler identified as Oharame. She carries bundles of brush wood in a basket on her head. Tied to the top of this basket is a mat. She is dressed in socks, sandals, indigo blue kimono, sash, apron, hand covers and gaiters on her legs, and uses a cord to tuck up the sleeves of the kimono. Beside her stands a Japanese child. The child wears sandals and is dressed in a plaid patterned apron over another garment. An automobile, electrical pole, electrical lines, mountain, trees, and another individual holding a child are visible in the background.
