He is wearing a horned and feathered headdress, a buckskin shirt, geometrically-beaded moccasins, a necklace, and a blanket wrapped around his legs. He is holding an unidentified object in his left hand with hair or fur on the end of it.

He is wearing a horned headdress, shirt buckskin and cloth, fur bandoleer, wool legging, blanket hider, moccasins. Holding in his left hand is an eagle feather staff, and an unidentified object. Behind him is a blanket backdrop and on the right side of the photograph is a striped blanket being used for a backdrop also. He is also standing on a blanket. Witting on the photograph is "Paul Showay Cayuse Tribe Maj. Moorhouse".
