An outside photograph of a Tule mat tipi in the wintertime. The Tule mats are four layers on the tipi with the door facing the camera. There are a number of poles on the outside of the Tule mats to hold them down on the tipi. There is a shed next to the tipi with boards and poles leaning on the shed. There is snow around the tipi and the foothills. The ridge on the right side of the photograph is Telephone Ridge. Writing on the photograph is "Winter at Thorn Hollow Umatilla Reservation Maj. Moorhouse." On top of the photograph is flaking from the glass plate negative.
