J. Kenneth Munford and Delmer Goode examine OSU Press materials. J. Kenneth Munford received a degree in Education in 1934 from Oregon State College. From 1939-1941, Munford was an instructor for the English Department. In 1948, Munford became an editor for the Office of Publications, later being promoted to Director of Publications in 1956. Munford helped lead the founding of OSU Press in 1961. Delmer Goode became Assistant College Editor in 1919, eventually serving as the Director of University Publications from 1943-1956. In 1919, Goode founded Troop 1 of the Boy Scouts of America.
Roy Young (left) with F. E. Price and John A. Milbrath. Roy A. Young became Assistant Professor of Plant Pathology in 1948 and taught courses in plant bacterial diseases and disease control. Young was head of the Botany and Plant Pathology department from 1958-1966. Young served for a short term as acting president from 1969-1970.
Frank Charles Reimer (left) was the Superintendent of the Southern Oregon Experiment Station. One of his focuses was locating pear trees that were resistant to Fireblight. Part of the Hanley Farm became part of the branch experiment station in 1957. Dr. Porter B. Lombard (right) was Professor of Horticulture from 1963-1992.
