Description
The ground battle, WWII 1945, Numberg, loosened all the building stones of the church. Thus the church was unsafe for use. All the building stones were taken down, numbered and put back by the numbers with fresh mortar. This visual document of the restoration process, made from drawings and photographs by the artist while on active duty in Germany, were used to create the imagery of the aquatint., The Reserection of the Liebfraukircke Nornberg; Aquatint, The Oregon Arts Commission has ten Regional Arts Councils that provide delivery of art services and information.
