Edition limited to 25 copies; This book was created by Susan Lowdermilk and printed in the summer of 1993 at the lone goose press in Eugene, Oregon. The woodcuts are images of the artist's ancestors. The text was written by the artist, set in Perpetua type, and printed on Arches Text Wove paper using a Vandercook 219 proof press. Images of the rock, paper, and scissors from the popular tie breaking game are featured on each of the double board pages of this Jacob's ladder book. No matter how many times the book is flipped, the top image in any pair is always the winning object (provided the title page stays at the top of the book). Images are woodcut prints wrapped over book board and linked with black ribbon. Woodcuts are printed in black and gray on white paper. Each image of paper, rock or scissors is different from the other images of the same object. Issued in a paper sleave with woodgrain design from woodcut in black and gray.
