Piece consists of a painted blue egg-shaped object mounted on white paper and housed inside a plastic jar. On the paper, spiraling out from the upright egg shape is a Whitman quote. Ingredients: wood, polystyrene, paper, acrylic, metal, ink, glue, words of Walt Whitman, grief is printed on the jar's lid., Edition in library lacks original cardboard box which housed the object.

Title from colophon booklet; 50 letters created by Elsi Vassdal Ellis written between Sept. 11, 2001 and Mar. 11, 2002, to Mohamed Atta, one of the hijackers believed to be at the controls of American Airlines Flight 11 that flew into the North Tower of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001; Each letter is 1 folded sheet and is in separate envelope, stamped and addressed Mohammed Atta, World Trade Center, New York, New York , with return address label EVE, Harmony Road, USA. ;Accompanied by colophon booklet, sewn in black wraps, in envelope; Issued in red and gold box (13 x 26 cm.), with letter opener, UO A&AA Library has copy no. 12 (Majed Moqed), signed by the artist

I went camping with two others to Paradise : it's along the McKenzie River

Two signatures are stitched together and glued to two large chunks of un-milled wood including rough edges and tree bark. Wood covers are hinged with a metal cabinet hinge. Short story about a trip to Paradise, on the McKenzie River in Oregon where old growth trees were being cut is handwritten in pencil with watercolor, collage and found natural materials glued to pages.
