Andrew S. McClure (1829-1898) traveled from Kansas to Oregon in 1853. The collection consists of two typed transcriptions of his journal, chronicling that journey.

Correspondence includes original letters of William Lysander Adams, Olive Frances Goodell, Helen E. Adams, Inez Adams Parker, and Thomas McBride. There is also a typed copy of Inez Parker's 'Early Recollections of Oregon Pioneer Life.'
